Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account data — email address and optional name when you sign up.

Billing data — payment information is processed by Stripe and never stored on QRlumo servers.

QR code data — the destinations and labels you create.

Scan events — for dynamic QR codes: IP address (used for geolocation only, then discarded on Business plan), device type, browser, country, and timestamp.

Usage data — page views and feature interactions, collected with privacy-respecting analytics.

2. How we use it

  • Provide, operate, and improve the QRlumo service
  • Calculate scan analytics and enforce plan limits
  • Send transactional emails (receipts, alerts, password resets)
  • Respond to support requests

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Data sharing

We share data only with service providers necessary to operate QRlumo:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Cloud infrastructure providers — hosting and storage
  • Email service providers — transactional email delivery

All providers are bound by data processing agreements that prohibit them from using your data for their own purposes.

4. Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in Settings — all associated data is purged within 30 days.

Scan event retention depends on your plan: 365 days (Free/Pro), 3 years (Team), 10 years (Business).

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@qrlumo.com.

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

6. Cookies

QRlumo uses essential session cookies for authentication. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

7. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. We conduct regular security reviews and maintain SOC 2 Type II controls.

8. Changes to this policy

We'll notify you by email of any material changes. Continued use of QRlumo after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
